After getting so many projects done this is how I reward myself, my favorite bench at the end of the day. Enjoyed watching the deer come out on this evening also.
I had a couple visitors in our yard this morning. This pair comes here every year to raise their chicks. Won’t be long and they’ll have a couple of brown fuzzy chicks following them around.
This one gave me quite a fight, that’s when I say anything goes. After going round and round with this painting, I think I finally won the battle. The metallic background makes this one shimmer.
Using a granulating wash for dried plants adds so much to the feel of the painting. Seed heads can make for an interesting subject when I want to use lots of textures.
Love walking by the creek after a fresh snowfall this time of year. The weather is bearable and the snow not so deep. Such a beautiful and peaceful place.
Winter Birches is the title of my creative canvas for the SGAAC fundraiser. I tore the edges of the paper to repeat the texture of the birch trees before mounting it to the canvas. Three coats of varnish later gives this piece a beautiful sheen and great protection.
